Steroids a bliss or curse

This article is dedicated every gym going guy and also to them who are planning to take Steroids and also to every individual who doesn’t actually know what this drug is and its aftermath after consuming it.
Starting with 
What are Steroids?
Steroids are fabricated Testosterone which is consumed to build muscles, to improvise appearance and to amplify performance. And other steroids are used in medical to cure chronic lung disease, asthma, skin conditions and allergic reactions like poison ivy. It is also used in cosmetics that leave deep side effects.



Street Names and Trade Names of Steroid
Famously known as Steroid, people fondly call it as Juice, Roids, Gym Candy, Weight Trainers, Anabolic, Pumpers, Balls or Bulls.
Whereas it’s Trade Names are Anatrofin, Anaxvar, Maxibolin, Gamma hydroxybutilate, Equipose, Parabolin, Winstrol, Quinolone and Therabolin to name a few.

 
The way they are taken
Generally it is swallowed in tablets or liquid; or injected in veins. These doses are called “cycling” wherein the users take it carefully for a certain period of time, stop, and resume consuming it again. There is another term called as “stacking” where users combine other drugs along with different types of steroids that is extremely dangerous.

 
Coming to the main part, let’s know the signs and symptoms of Steroid use.
Steroid users mostly manifest the following symptoms

  • Fluid retention in body
  • Mood swings

  • Aggressive behavior
  • Depression

The dose is so powerful that oral Steroids can be found in your system up to several weeks after consuming and injected Steroids can be found in your system for several months after use. One can imagine how dreadful this drug is! 
Talking about its effects there are Short-Term Effects and Long-Term Effects.

 
Short-Term Effects; -
Steroids can increase muscle mass, strength, and endurance, but can also cause liver tumors, jaundice, water retention, and high blood pressure. Some users show bad behavior because the drugs make them feel invincible. While other users suffer from uncontrolled aggression and violent behavior called as “Roid rage,” severe mood swings, demented episodes and despair. They often suffer from impractical jealousy; extreme irritability and can have delusions.

 
Long-Term Effects: -
When the users body senses a build up of steroids in its system, conditions such as high cholesterol, hypertension, kidney diseases, stunted growth; and heart damage are most likely to occur. Women can experience irreversible deepening of the voice, shrinking of the breasts, problems in menstrual cycle, baldness and hair growth on other parts of the body, and genital swelling. Men can experience baldness, breast enlargement, sterility, shrinking of testicles and impotency.  Steroids such as prednisone and other synthetic Steroids can cause a rise in blood sugar by blocking the effect of insulin.  Over time, users can develop diabetes also. 
The only conclusion comes out is Steroids any day is a bad option to gain weight and develop muscles and strength. There are many good supplements out there in market that helps in bodybuilding. Also remember the healthier you eat the stronger and immune you become from diseases. After all its just 30% what you work out remaining 70% is pure diet.
